The Leftist Review was founded in 2009 by Thomas Parslow and published its first issue on the web in 2010.
TLR offers commentaries and analysis on a wide range of subjects. Our perspective, in the most general terms, might be described as rooted in Enlightenment principles, but informed by the Postmodern Critique.
Our mission is to promote the best ideas of the Left while critiquing the arguably dubious Republican project that fronts for corporate power. We hope that the heart of the magazine lies somewhere deep in the firmament of leftist thought, encompassing progressive and social democratic ideals.
TLR has temporarily suspended publication until editor-in-chief, Tom Parslow, returns from medical leave.
